The federal government has announced a nationwide recruitment of 30,000 personnel across four paramilitary agencies. In a statement on Tuesday, the civil defence, correctional, fire, and immigration services board (CDCFIB) said the recruitment exercise covers vacancies in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The application portal is scheduled to open on June 26 at recruitment.cdcfib.org . The board said applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 and must meet minimum physical and medical standards. Male applicants are expected to be at least 1.65 m tall with a chest measurement of not less than 0.87 m, while the minimum height for female applicants is 1.60 m. Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has revealed the top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. Speaking at the 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ish-aq Oloyede, said Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State scored the highest with 375 out of a maximum score of 400. He revealed the highest scorer picked the University of Lagos as his first choice, to study Mechanical Engineering Engineering. He was closely followed by Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State who scored 374. Ayuba picked Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) as his first choice to study Mechanical Engineering. In the third position is Jimoh Abdulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State who garnered 373 with UNILAG as his first choice.
