Nigeria civil defence service corps officer stabbed to death in Abuja



 🛑 A personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) identified as Blessing Akpan was st@bbed to d3ath by unknown assailants in Abuja. It was learnt that Blessing was st@bbed in front of her residence in Piawe, Bwari, in the early hours of last week Tuesday. 


 She was confirmed d3ad at Bwari General Hospital by the medical personnel on duty. Blessing’s friends, who spoke to Daily Trust on Monday, July 28, said the deceased was rushed to different hospitals after the attack but she was allegedly denied immediate treatment because of the absence of a police report.


One of the friends, who did not want her name in print mentioned, said said the NSCDC officer lost her life because she had lost so much blood before she was attended to at a Hospital where she was later confirmed d3ad.


What a country! How do you expect someone in such a situation to get a police report?

Apply now: Nigerian FG opens applications for recruitment portal for 4 agencies

  The federal government has announced a nationwide recruitment of 30,000 personnel across four paramilitary agencies. In a statement on Tuesday, the civil defence, correctional, fire, and immigration services board (CDCFIB) said the recruitment exercise covers vacancies in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The application portal is scheduled to open on June 26 at  recruitment.cdcfib.org . The board said applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 and must meet minimum physical and medical standards. Male applicants are expected to be at least 1.65 m tall with a chest measurement of not less than 0.87 m, while the minimum height for female applicants is 1.60 m. JAMB ANNOUNCES TOP SCORERS IN THIS YEAR'S UTME

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has revealed the top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. Speaking at the 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ish-aq Oloyede, said Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State scored the highest  with 375 out of a maximum score of 400. He revealed the highest scorer picked the University of Lagos as his first choice, to study Mechanical Engineering Engineering. He was closely followed by Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State who scored 374. Ayuba picked Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) as his first choice to study Mechanical Engineering. In the third position is Jimoh Abdulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State who garnered 373 with UNILAG as his first choice.
